I guess you can blame our addiction to HGTV and the DIY network for "catching the bug". But it slowly started in our 1st home on Penny Lane. Small projects like painting and refinishing tables slowly progressed to adding crown moldings, finishing a basement, and installing our yard's sprinkler system! (Mike's lawn was the talk of the town) ( :
We moved, from our Wisteria Lane community, in search for something different. Dreaming of a farmhouse (on the shoreline) updated with the modern rustic feel, started to feel of just that: a dream. With sky high price tags and pushy agents, we started to feel like our own BRAVO reality show! But after two exhausting years of searching and over 100 homes we finally found "the one". With her unique roof lines, stone wall, a must have mud room and river views, we finally felt ready to take on our new venture.
But after a week in the house the the search started again. This time it was for the PERFECT TABLE!! We looked online, the big distributors, the local boutique shoppes and it was all the same... Crappy product with ridiculous price tags. So we decided to do what every other married couple of two small children, in a new town, with a new house do... Build our own farm table. ( ; And it came out awesome! So much so, that people started asking if we could make them one!
We use only premium Doug Fir wood from our local lumber company. It honestly is the best of the best and you will truly appreciate it! We hand pick every board and 4x4 to get that rustic organic feel. Every table is unique in texture and color and is made with good ole Rustic River Working love.
Here's to giving your friends #tableenvy!!
